How to decipher bond prices from Reuters

Dear all

We recently configured the US treasury bond prices in our Reuters datafeed. Till now we were using Reuters datafeed only for FX, Equities and Interest Rates. The value which comes in is something like the attached screenshot - 99 176/256. How do we read this? Automatic import of this fails in our SAP system because its not numeric.

Thanks a lot

Pankaj

Hi Pankaj – the price is expressed as percentage of the bond's face value and quoted in mixed form. The fractional bit is quoted in 256s. So the price is 99 and 176/256 = 99.6875 of face value.
