RFA - Market Data Protocol

We currently code to the Thomson Reuters FX RFA - is the RFA protocol specific to the FX feed only, or is RFA leveraged in other market data specifications and protocols? If so, can you please provide which specs and feeds this would apply to? Thanks

Hi @mark.laforest

The market data APIs, RFA or EMA, are APIs that work will many asset classes, not just FX. Both of the APIs utilize the OMM (Open Message Model) which is built on top of RWF (Refinitiv Wire Format). You can find some documentation here: https://developers.refinitiv.com/en/api-catalog/refinitiv-real-time/robust-foundation-api-rfa-c--/documentation#rfa-c-development-guides

If you are interested in new development, I would suggest you look at EMA (Enterprise Message APIs): https://developers.refinitiv.com/en/api-catalog/refinitiv-real-time-opnsrc/rt-sdk-cc
