Hello @lukasz.saletra and all,
Please find the additional details:
There are hundreds of rules used to rank the results, too many and too complex to share in detail here. But for example, some of the factors used in this ranking include:
- The attributes of the RIC (e.g. equity RICs which are the primary RIC for their issuer, and/or trade on the more major exchanges, and/or have higher trading value, etc. will tend to outrank others)
- How frequently our users access the RICs in our products – the more popular a RIC is, the higher it will rank
- Specific rules designed to return the most relevant RICs based on what you type (e.g. "Gold" will return the most important commodity RICs related to gold, regardless of where rules like the above would otherwise rank them.)
If there is any specific example / mis-ranking you want us to look at, let us know.
Hello @lukasz.saletra,
Would like to share some information with regards to your question. We have also requested more details and are awaiting the response.

RIC Search tool functionality on developers portal is based on Eikon Advanced Search.
Conveying the information that we have obtained on Advanced Eikon Search:
"a query tool for identifying many different
types of securities using complex combinations of search criteria. The
tool uses a combination of 'Universes' and 'Searches'. Each universe
represents a broad content area - Fixed Income, Commodities, Equities
etc. Searches are either pre-defined subsets of those areas or users own
saved searches."
