We currently have the problem that we only receive updates but no initials via our RFA interface to a connected service. Is there a special parameter to set in the API? We use the Java version of RFA 8.2.1.L2 on Windows.
Hello @Juergen Burkart
The API should send the Image/Refresh message to the application as the first data message. Which RIC that encounters the problem? Does the issue occur to every clients that connects to the same Provider?
If you can replicate the issue on demand, please enable the RFA trace file and share it in this portal. The RFA trace file contains incoming/outgoing messages between the API and RTDS server. It will let me check this issue in detail.
You can configure the following RFA Java configurations to enable the log file
Example:
<node name="rsslConnection"> <map> <entry key="connectionType" value="RSSL"/> <entry key="serverList" value="localhost"/> <entry key="portNumber" value="14002"/> <entry key="ipcTraceFlags" value="23"/> <entry key="mountTrace" value="True"/> <entry key="logFileName" value=".\logs\RSSL_%U.log"/> </map></node>
Note: You need to restart the app to make the configuration changed works.
...so, there is no special parameter to subscribe an initial ?
An image is the first response message, followed by update messages.
There is a snapshot request that always returns an Image message to the application, and then closes that item stream ("snapshot").
You can set the request message to the snapshot request by setting the following Indication Flags:
ommmsg.setIndicationFlags(OMMMsg.Indication.REFRESH | OMMMsg.Indication.NONSTREAMING);
By the way, I am not sure this is what you want.
