Data Download limit of Deals of USA muni bond

I use the get_data API to download USA municipal bond data by deals. However, I get much less observation compared to screen based on "Date deal was created".

I wonder how is the download limit of USA municipal bond data by deals? How to get the full data?

If the number of outputs I received is what you have expected, I can confirm that your codes are correct. You may contact to your Account manager to verify the account specific limits, if any.

I notice that there is an indicator showing the memory of Codebook. I wonder how is the memory? Since we need to store the data to the codebook and then download to our local computer.

@aramyan.h How much memory does the codebook have? Does it affect the amount of data we can download?

may I know if there is a specific reason you have to store data in Codebook? Please note that you can use the APIs from your local IDE (eg Jupiter notebook) as well.

As it comes to the memory of Codebook, I don't think it affects the amount of the data you can download, however you can verify that by raising a product question via my.refinitiv.com or help centre inside the Workspace.

@aramyan.h I can directly use 'import refinitiv.data as rd' in Codebook.

I wonder how to use it in my local IDE. I use anaconda and Jupiter notebook. I tried to pip install but it failed.

How to correctly install and use the API in my local IDE? Do I need to input my account ID and password when I use the API in my local IDE?

Hi @23112372r ,

If you want to use Eikon from Refinitiv Data Libraries you should install the data libraries using:

!pip install refinitiv.data

conda install refinitiv.data

Then you can import the eikon as the following and set app key.

import refinitiv.data.eikon as ek
ek.set_app_key('Your APP Key')

To find/create an app key you need to use APP KEY Generator app within the Workspace (type APPKEY in the search box).

@aramyan.h Hi, I installed refinitiv.data? Now I wonder how to find the APP key? I tried search APP KEY and tried every API KEY listed there, and no one works.

Did you use this app?

Please also make sure you tick Eikon Data API, EDP API when creating new API keys.

If you already have api keys and it didn't work, please post the error and the piece of code you are using.

@aramyan.h Yes, I am using APP Key Generator.

import refinitiv.data as rd
import refinitiv.data.eikon as ek
ek.set_app_key('')

when I input the API key in my terminal to

ek.set_app_key('')

and run. it shows the error:

Error on handshake url http://localhost:9000/api/handshake : JSONDecodeError('Expecting value: line 1 column 1 (char 0)')
