The error message "Insufficient scope" means that your account does not have the permission to get News headlines or Stories via Data Platform. RDP and Workspace are separate products with their own set of entitlements. The LSEG account manager can help add these entitlements to your account.
My understanding is that News is not available in Excel. Please confirm the data availability with LSEG MyAccount.
Thanks for confirming, it was my suspicion as well, but the hotline advisor was negating it.
