Request for Macro News Excel File in LSEG Workspace

I am currently using LSEG Workspace and would like to set up an Excel file that automatically updates with macroeconomic news data. Specifically, I’m looking for a file that includes the following columns:

Type of release

Date of the release

Time of the release

Actual value

Expected value (when available)

The data should cover all available macroeconomic news and monetary policy events for Germany, France, and the United States.

Could you please let me know if such a setup is possible via Workspace, and how I can configure or access it (e.g. through the Add-In, Datastream, or another tool)?

Its my understanding that Workspace plugin for Excel does not support news. News is available through API, and a user can use LD Library for Python, to get it programmatically. See the news examples in this GitHub repo for LD Library.

You would need the correct search query, so that the result set is the macroeconomic data that you desire. You can raise a content help request at LSEG Support, to help you build news search query. Also include a link to this discussion to avoid being redirected back to the forums.
