I just want to confirm how you define one request. For example, if I run ld.get_history(universe="AAPL.O=", interval="1min", start="2025-09-15", end="2025-09-16"), does that count as a single request?

The function you posted is considered as a single request; it could be the call-based limits which exceed and trigger the error. Limits Guideline in detail of Eikon Data API can be found at Documentation | Devportal

And I would recommend you look at the LSEG Data Library for Python | Devportal, which is a strategic API and newer than the Eikon Data API.

Thank you for your answer. However, I would like to specify that I was using the lseg.data python library to call this function. Is there another API function I could use to get news from the terminal?
