Intermittent Access Denied error

We've been experiencing an intermittent error while checking chain rics in a nightly process.
For example:
Process Status Message ID 64632001, 0#BOW+: NotEntitled, Access Denied: User req to IDN for Unsubscribed Exch e.g. - MON

This particular instance we had the same ric with the same error at the same moment across both a test and production environment. When i check the ric with the same user account as the service is using, it appears to be OK.

We've noticed this occurring more frequently over the past few months. How can we resolve this?

  • Hello @james_molohon

Are you connecting to the RTO Cloud or sourcing data from your in-house RTMDS?

You will need to reach out to the administrators of the infrastructure to see why a user might be denied permission, some of the time. Maybe there is a maintenance window or some batch process which works on user entitlements.

PS: to rule out the coding error, can you also replicate this issue with one of the EMA sample applications like Consumer 100.

  • Thanks for responding. We have an on-premise system that we are connecting to. I'm unable to reproduce the error, it usually happens at 1 am, and works fine other times. I haven't observed any other pattern in timing. I felt that since it occurred across environments for the same ric, it must be something with the DACS. I will open a ticket with our team to investigate.
