Until recently, my nightly batch job was able to retrieve the same-day market capitalization.
(Command example)
test_df, e = ek.get_data('9984.T', ['TR.IssueMarketCap.date', 'TR.IssueMarketCap', 'DSPLY_NAME'])
For example, when I ran this in the evening Japan time, it used to return the market cap for that same day. However, lately the response looks as though the prior day’s market cap is still unavailable even on the following day.
For reference, I’m seeing the same behavior in CodeBook as well.
