No connection to API

When I run the following in my Jupyter Notebook:

tr.set_app_key('xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx375eacd87e24')

I get the following error message:

Check if Eikon Desktop or Eikon API Proxy is running.

However my Eikon Desktop is running at the same time.

Please would someone help me to resolve this issue? I don't have much experience programming. Thanks

Hi @bill39

I checked that you are using the Eikon R&A variant so your account should be able to use Eikon Data API(Python) feature.

Please follow this troubleshooting guide to verify when might the problem be.
