Client ask can they have a completed demo for EMA java /ERT in cloud coding programming
Client details:
Product: ERT in cloud
EMA Java
Elektron SDK Java
Rest API as downstream app
Hello @Hao.Tang
The client can download the Real-Time SDK Java edition package from the API download page. The package contains EMA Java example450__MarketPrice__QueryServiceDiscovery example which is a demo application for connecting and consuming data from ERT in Cloud.
The client can find more detail regarding how to run that example 450 in EMA Java Quick Start page.
Thanks mate, you mean "Elektron SDK Java 1.5.0L1"package? Or different one?
@Hao.Tang
Please be informed that the Elektron SDK is renamed to Refinitiv Real-Time SDK, the latest version of the SDK is 1.5.1L1.
Thanks mate i have found example 450 and share with client the quick guide to run it. much appreciate your help
Regarding the ERT in Cloud credentials setup, you may suggest the client follow the Machine-ID section in Getting Start with Refinitiv Data Platform article.
Sorry Wasin, some minor issue here. Client use free trial ID for ERT in cloud. In their welcome email, there is no app key generator tool link so they cannot grant client id. do we have any other way to get the link to grant client id?
The client can access the app key generator tool via the AppKey Generator web site or via Refinitiv Workspace/Eikon Desktop application (go to the Search Bar and type ```APP KEY```, then select the AppKey Generator).
Thanks mate, client is not a eikon user but EZD user only. Can you share me the appkey generator website link? Much appreciate it
Hello @Hao.Tang,
Please note that if your infra connectivity is ElektronConnect, via EZD, should not be using 450 example, and ERT quickstart.
With EZD, client app connects to EZD, while EZD connects upstream to Refinitiv hosted infrastructure, rather then ERT.
Example 450 is for ERT use only and will not be able to successfully connect to the local EZD.
Please use non-ERT examples, the simplest example is EMA example Market Price 100, to connect to the running EZD.
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks Zoya. Actually client want to migrate to ERT in cloud by end of 2020. So isuggest example 450 as a demo. Now minor concern is that if api key generator tool website can be shared as this is missed in client welcome mail of free trial ERT cloud ID. (Client is not a EIKON user so they cannot access generator via eikon)
The Appkey Generator web site url is https://amers1.apps.cp.thomsonreuters.com/apps/AppkeyGenerator. If you click "AppKey Generator web site" link in my comment above, you will see it.
I think it will be easier if the client developers register on dev portal and make use of this forum directly.
So does the client currently has the access to ERT infrastructure?
This EMA Java Quickstart Guide for ERT should be very helpful in terms of identifying and explaining important steps quickly, and includes Key Generator link.
