Hello Team,

Our excel spreadsheet crashes upon retrieving data from Workspace add-in. It can be replicated inhouse. We checked with excel experts (GBC team) and they informed that it has macros and so needs to be raised to Developers to check further. Could you please advise? The file has .xlsm extension, so its not even allowing me to attach here.

Thanks for your support!

  • Hi Team! Here is the file. I tried to convert it to .xlsx so I am not sure if the macro was affected. It was mentioned that macro is included in Cash Flow tab. Please review CF GAAP and CF Summary sheets. Thank you

I got the excel file from the case 14723361 and I can run it properly without any crash. I can open the CF GAAP and CF Summary sheets.

Please share the steps to replicate this issue.

FYI: Normally, Developer Community Forum is for how-to/general/technical LSEG API questions so we wouldn't investigate or review the whole application or code.

    Hi Jirapongse,
    Thanks for your support.

This is quite interesting. When we try to open the file, it just crashes immediately. My colleagues had the same experience. When can only open the excel with formulas/calculation options set to manual. But when we are connecting/signing in with the workspace add-on and worksheets are updated, the excel crashes. The excel also crashes when we hit the "Run Calculations" button on CF SUMMARY Tab.

We were assuming that this is related to Refinitiv’s data retrieving or maybe the macro behind the button. Unfortunately, we cannot find the error. We are rather Excel beginners who have inherited the project. We are happy about any kind of support.

    BR, Stephan

It doesn't crash when I run it. You may need to scope down the issue by reducing the complexity of that page or creating a simple excel that can replicate this issue.
