RTDS Upgrade Question RTO TO RTO

Currently using RTDS API, trying to do a RTO Upgrade and want to know if it is needed to follow the "LPC_installation_and_configuration_guide.pdf" or can be ignored and follow the "RTDS RTC connecting to RTO Guide - May 2023 v2"?
thanks,

Hi @Moises Gomez,

Please clarify what you are trying to achieve. Which API are you using (RTDS is not an API). Is your current RTMDS connected to RTO? LPC is not needed, if you want to use RTC - it is only for legacy API like RFA which which intend to source data from RTO cloud.

thanks Gurpreet, currently using the Java Real Time Optimized product to stream FX Rates for our system, so they I don't need to set up a Real Time Connector(RTC) in addition to their RTDS service, is this correct?

Hi @Moises Gomez,

Real time Optimized is a service in the cloud. It can be consumed using variety of ways - using products like LPC, RTC, or EMA API. From your statement it looks like you are using EMA Java to get streaming data from RTO.

If this is correct, why is there an RTDS service? Where does your RTDS get data from. Do other apps connect and get data from RTDS? Why does you app not get data from RTDS and instead connect to RTO?
