RTO upgrade - Developer box vs VMs

We have a client asking the following regarding their RTO upgrade to version 2.

"With the new authentication, is it possible for us to be able to connect from a developer box, versus just the two VMs with the MachineID I had set up previously? It's very inconvenient for us to develop on our test VM as it is now being used very frequently for automated tests and other testing purposes."

Please advise.

Thank you

Hello @colette.boss2

The RTO can be connected via a public network, so any machines (developer box or Virtual machine or Docker container) that can access to the internet should be able to connect to RTO.

  • If you are using the RSSL connection, please set your network/firewall to allow the TCP port 14002.
  • Please set your network/firewall to allow the HTTP request for the api.refinitiv.com domain too.

The Version 2 Authentication supports up to 5 sessions per 1 Service Account.
