I am getting this error message: InvalidURL("Invalid port: 'None'") Port number was not identified, cannot send any request

Here is the full error message:

Error: no proxy address identified.

Check if Eikon Desktop or Eikon API Proxy is running.

Error on handshake url http://127.0.0.1:None/api/handshake : InvalidURL("Invalid port: 'None'")

Port number was not identified, cannot send any request

Have reinstalled Eikon, changed the api key, cleared the cache and updated anyio as a post on another thread here suggested..

@charles.allderman

This is strange.

I saw the log file on machine.

The 9060 port works properly.

You may need to contact the Eikon support team directly via MyAccount to verify why there is no SxS log.

Thanks @Jirapongse. I double checked now, that SxS log is definitely not there. Have logged with ticket again, but no response yet.
Any update on this ?

@charles.allderman

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To verify what the problem is, please refer to the Eikon Data API and Refinitiv Data Library - Troubleshooting article. Then, share the web browser screenshot and SxS log file mentioned in the article.

@Jirapongse thanks for the feedback. I have done that, run netstat -a | findstr 9060 with no response and http://localhost:9000/api/status also with no response, at which point the trouble shooting article says to contact support. Will post the log.

Set logging to level 4 verbose, but there is no SxS log file. 1727777090514.png

Working now, seems it was a backend/server setting relating to my access credentials. No changes were done client side.

Thank you. Was similar for me it seems. Extremely annoying as took 2 days to fix.
