Elektron ETA: TRNA parsing Multi fragment NTA item

While parsing NTA items containing multiple fragments I see trailing characters in the decompressed json as "<...>".

Looks like the json data is truncated. This behavior is noticed for all data with same length. Any idea how to resolve this?

The code only decompresses the data once the buffer size is equal to expected size

It is resolved, the issue was with the json string printer. Thanks

Hi @akrishnan,

I just tried capturing MRN NTA data and did not observe the same behavior as you did - see attached output (trna.txt) for the example I observed. The issue could be with the collection of fragments or with your compression library you are using.

You didn't mentioned whether you were unable to parse the resulting JSON data. Did you try and it failed? I'm assuming you are using the ETA libraries to do this work. Did you happen to try anyone of the EMA (Java or C++) tutorials to confirm the behavior you are seeing?

Hi Nick,

Is the example you used the result of a multi-fragment message? I am using zlib compression library

I am unable to parse the resulting json data since the json string is malformed. Yes I am using ETA library for this. I haven't tried using EMA.

Hi @akrishnan,

All the MRN client applications I'm using will handle multi-fragment messages.

If the news content comes in 1 fragment, does it work? If so, does it always seem to fail when you see multiple fragments? Are you concatenating all fragment before you decompress?

I would try the EMA examples just to compare in case you believe everything looks good within your application.
