Marketfeed, SSL, RFA 7.x EOL

Hello,

Is there any planned EOL for Marketfeed/SSL distribution by Reuters or an EOL for RFA 7.x which support Marketfeed ?

Within the file APICompatibilityMatrix_206.xls we only see past EOL.

Thanks

best regards,

Hello @rfidy

Currently, there is no plan to EOL for Marketfeed/MarketData interface(SSL connection) in RFA 7.x. If this interface/connection is going to be EOL, you should receive an email informing this.

Anyway, I recommend you consider to move to EMA(Elektron Message API) C++ or Java which is the long solution and the strategic product. EMA is one APIs in Elektron SDK. EMA is easy of use so you can develop the application with less line of code compare to RFA MarketData interface. It also helps you to reduce bandwidth and provide useful features e.g. Views(allow you receive only your preference fields) while RFA MarketData interface does not provide these. For more details, please see Developer Webinar: Why Migrate from RFA to EMA API? . You can find the resource e.g. quick start, documentation, tutorials which helps you to develop EMA application on Elektron SDK - C/C++ page and Elektron SDK - Java page .

Hope this help.
