Error code 503 | Server Error: API Proxy is not available

We have had the below error since yesterday. We asked Refinitiv Help desk team to support us for removing this error while they closed our query and referred us to the developer community. We are receiving the following error.

  
                
  1. Error code 503 | Server Error: API Proxy is not available

Any idea how this could be resolved? It doesn't make sense for us why the Refinitiv Help desk team can not follow up our problem.

Glad to help.

My understanding is you were able to use Eikon Data API python and only started seeing this issue yesterday?

Eikon Data APi can show this error if it cannot connect to Eikon API proxy. Eikon APi Proxy is part of your running Eikon desktop.

There are a couple of things that can prevent the connection from happening, the best resource to troubleshoot is article Eikon Data API(Python) Troubleshooting

Please let us know if you are able to follow the steps described and identify your specific cause?
