How is it possible to obtain static data information pertaining to certain security?

Via the Elektron EMA API, how is it possible to obtain static data information pertaining to certain security? E.g. for a RIC that is a Future instrument, are details such as the CUSIP/ISIN, Contract Expiration Date etc. obtained via the SymbolList Domain? If not, what domain can be used to source this information?

Hi Tharinda,

At this point in time the EMA (and other TR realtime APIs) only support RIC codes for requests.

However, as you state, it may well be possible to obtain CUSIP/ISIN codes etc via a lookup or from a Field in the RIC based record i.e. request the RIC and then extract the CUSIP or ISIN from the response payload.

Therefore, the question you have is really a Data Content query. I recommend you contact the TR Data Helpdesk for your region. (UK Helpdesk is 0800 44 2000).

Alternative sources of Data content Information are available on the Data Support page.

The Data Helpdesk should be able to help you find the information you are after.

The REFERENCE domain is being implemented to support such requests, you will have to access your account manager for future availability, however today if the information is not available as part of the RIC refresh image one would have to use DataScope Select, part of Elektron Data Solutions, via HTTP+JSON or SOAP to access such content.
