pricing/snapshots Market Cap field

Hi,

How can I get the Market Cap of a stock using the pricing/snapshots service?

or is there any other service that I can get the updated market data that should be change during trading time according to the stock price.

There are couple of fields in the real-time feed which carry the shares outstanding information, but these may/may not be populated for every instrument. This availability of this value depends on the listing exchange. The fields like AMT_OS (850) or AMT_OS_UNS (32744), can be multiplied with the last trade price to get the market capitalization.

There is also a field MKT_CAP (2744) abd MKT_VALUE (2150), which can directly provide this information, if it is populated for your instrument.

As for other products - any service like DSS which carries fundamental data for instruments, can provide Market Cap. The fundamental data is not updated in real time.

You can use the Data Model Discovery tool to check which markets support the MKT_CAP field.

Otherwise, you can contact the content support team directly via the LSEG Support to get sample RICs.
