I don't understand how you are getting this exception. Can you please provide complete code so that I can verify.
Also, can you please confirm that you are using the latest version of the SDK?
As shown in the source code for the EMA, this exception is exactly thrown if the HasName is false. However, it seems that you have already checked for this property. Providing complete source code will allow me to verify the issue.
