Version 1 Authentication Password Rotation Policy

Hi,

I am using version 1 authentication in my application done on top of EMA RealTime SDK (C++). For each system we are using a different machine account having separate USERNAME, PASSWORD and CLIENT_IDs. Can you please direct me to the documentation i should refer to identify password rotation policy ?

Hello @thilinaillangasinghe

Basically, the RTO password should be set as Policy level 3 ("Low") by your Refinitiv Representative.

Please contact your Refinitiv Representative to check your policy level.

### Level 3 - Low ###

  • Length Min: 30
  • Length Max: Unlimited
  • Complexity: Any 3-character sets
  • Max Age: None
  • Expired Warning: None
  • History Count: None

### Level 2 - Standard ###

However, if your Representative set your password level as level - "Standard"

  • Length Min: 15
  • Length Max: Unlimited
  • Complexity: Any 3-character sets
  • Max Age: 90 Days
  • Expired Warning: 7 Days
  • History Count: 12
