rfa c++ 32bit application using OMM supported on which Windows plafforms

On a Windows 2012/Windows 2016 host using RFA - C++ libraries configured to use OMM when building the application I see that 32 an 64 bit libraries are delivered in the zip file. From the compatibility matrix it's a little unclear whether the 32bit libraries built into a 32 bit application are supported to run a Windows 2012 or 2016 64 bit platforms. Can you please advise what 32bit libraries are supported on the different version of the RFA API 7.6,8.0,8.1 libraries using OMM running on Windows 2012/2016

Hello @mike.ford,

To answer the question as asked, I read in the API Compatibility Matrix, RFA 7.6.X, C/C++ & Java, OMM, are currently supported with 32-bit library.

For additional useful information:

If you are currently deployed on 32 bit RFA 7.6, I would recommend planning to migrate to newer APIs, Elektron Suite of APIs has a lot to offer in terms of both features available and efficiency. Elektron Message API (EMA) is ease-of-use API, with significantly less coding effort then RFA required.

If you are planning a new application, it should be developed with Elektron APIs, not with RFA, which is a supported feature-complete API, no new features.

Hello @mike.ford,

Looking at the latest API Compatibility Matrix dated 2020.1 Jan 30th:

Windows Server 2016 tested with RFA C++,.Net,Java, 8.1 and newer (OMM, 64 bit)

Windows server 2012 tested with RFA C++/Java 7.6.X (OMM) and 8.0 C++/.Net/Java (OMM , 64 bit)

Win server 2008 was last server, that was tested with 7.6 Non-OMM = Market Data

RFA 8+ supports 64 bit only.

Does this help?

If this does not help, could you please be more specific, explain what are you looking to use/achieve?

Thanks for the quick response.

Windows 2008 is now out of support, are there any versions of the 32bit RFA running on Windows 2012 that are configured to use OMM that are supported?
