Refinitiv CodeBookについて

今回、CodeBook(Web経由のjupyterでの実行が目的)を利用して複数の財務データを取得した際に起きたことについて質問があるためメールを送らせていただきました。


データ取得の際に用いたPCは Mac OS(M1チップ搭載) なのですが、EikonアプリはWindowsのみに対応しているため、(Use Eikon Data API or RDP Library in Python in CodeBook on Web Browser)のサイトを参考にCodeBook経由でデータ取得を試みました。

データ取得はできたのですが、問題はデータ取得に掛かった時間です。


【経緯】

私が使用する2つのPC WindowsとMac OS(M1チップ搭載)で、条件を同じにして複数のデータ取得に掛かった時間を比較したところ下記のようになりました。

　Windows → <2時間>

　CodeBook経由のMac OS(M1チップ搭載) → <5時間>

Mac OSのほうがWindowsよりもかなり高スペックのためCodeBook経由のMac OSでの取得時間はWindowsよりも半分以下の時間で終わると思ったのですが、上記の結果となりました。


【質問】

比較結果からCodeBook経由のMac OSのデータ取得ではMac OS(M1チップ搭載)のCPUなどを用いて計算しているわけではないのではと考えました。

・CodeBook経由だと時間が掛かる原因に他に何か心当たりはありますでしょうか?

・CodeBook経由のMac OSでデータ取得をする際に、Windowsよりも早く取得したいため、Mac OSのCPUなどを使ってデータ取得処理を行うにはどのようにしたらよいでしょうか?


PC関連の知識不足のため的外れな質問や支離滅裂な文になってしまっていることご容赦ください。

Hello @tomoya.suzuki.lab

Please be informed that the CodeBook is the cloud-hosted JupyterLab. It might be the reason why it not using your local machine resources.

You may set up your own Jupyter Notebook/JupyterLab environment in your local machine, and then use the Eikon Data API in that environment (you still need to run the Eikon/Workspace application too).
