Function to get RIC from PermID

How can I get the RIC code of a subsidiary's parent organisation by entering subsidiary PermID (API in Python).

For example if I make a function, and I enter BlackRock (Ireland) with PermID 12345, return BLK

    I would urge you to raise a content ticket at LSEG MyAccount, to ask this question. We can help with technical API related issues on these forums.

    There are many unknown's in your question which content experts should be able to answer - like, what if parent organization is not trading and does not have a RIC. Often, trading organizations have multiple RIC's, and you would need to find a path to Primary RIC.

    There are many Search API's, and Bulk files available in the Data Platform (RDP) which can resolve these routes. Content experts can help you find this same information in DSS.
