Can I use get_data Eikon data API to get the bond type (e.g Treasury, savings, agency, municipal, and corporate ) from isin

e.g

df, e = ek.get_data(['US912828D564', ...,...],['TR.***BOND TYPE***'])

Is there a TR.*** that could return me the bond type

I checked and found that the fields could be TR.FiSovereignClassDescription and TR.FiInstrumentTypeDescription.

You can find other fields by using the Data Item Browser tool. Please refer to the following resources.

Otherwise, you can contact the Eikon Excel support team directly via MyRefiniv and ask for TR fields which can be used with the =TR excel function to retrieve the required information.

df, err = ek.get_data(
instruments = ['912828D56='],
fields = ['TR.FiSovereignClassDescription','TR.FiInstrumentTypeDescription', 'TR.FiAssetTypeDescription']
)

display(df)
