Data limits on price data

in Eikon Data APIs

i'm trying to pool 10 years of pricing data for about 5000 etfs, trying to figure out if there are data limits, and if so how to work around them.


seems like this works fine on smaller number of RICS, but not the whole universe


i am using refinitiv workspace, most of the answers here deal with your Eikon platform, not sure if theres a difference

    Please see Eikon Data API Usage and Limits Guideline document.

    Just in case, please be informed, Eikon Data API are part of Eikon/Workspace desktop and are intended for single user, desktop API usage, no redistribution is permitted.

    For extensive price history requirements in the absence of redistribution or if there is are-distribution requirement, Refinitiv history products, for example Refinitiv Tick History, accessible via Refinitiv Tick History (RTH) - REST API are more suitable.

    Suggest to get in touch with your Refinitiv account manager, who will be able to help, by discussing available product options and recommending the best solution for your organization per your organization's requirements.
