    Answer ✓

The listening network and TCP port of running applications must be unique on a machine or container.

You can configure DACS Sink Daemon to listen on the same TCP port and network as TREP. However, both applications could be run on the same machine or container at the same time due to TCP port conflict.

Therefore, the answer is no. You can't run DACS Sink Daemon and TREP on the same server and same network/port at the same time.

Typically, you should different TCP ports for DACS Sink Daemon and TREP to avoid confusion.

If I understand the question correctly:

It is possible to run an OpenDACS application and DACS sink daemon on the same machine as DACS.

It is also possible to run OpenDACS app on the same machine as TREP ( ADS, ADH). To be clear, OpenDACS application will interact via DACS sink daemon with DACS, not with TREP.

Thanks @zoya.farberov. What I want to know is if DACS sink daemon can run on same port as TREP?
