ETA Reactor Library

From ETA API documentation, it’s clear that Tunnel streams require the use of the Transport API Reactor that is part of the Value Add utilities.

Does a Reactor channel has to be a mandatory Tunnel stream channel ? Can ETA Reactor API be used without Tunnel Stream so that it can be used to interact with an older application that was written using UPA Library ?

Reactor channels can interface with all versions of UPA (now known as ETA).Tunnel Streams is a new functionality that is available only through the Reactor, but it is not required for use and it does not prohibit the use of any other pre-existing UPA/ETA functionality.
