how to change directory from home/jovyan to any directory of youe machine? cd command does not help

Hello @varadraj

Do you mean you cannot change the Eikon/Workspace CodeBook app to your local machine? If so, it is expected behavior because the CodeBook app is the cloud-hosted Jupyter Lab. The App isn't run the Jupyter from your local machine.

You can upload the files from you local machine to your CodeBook environment via the upload button as shown below.
