How to retrieve data using page codes and parse specific data from a page Eikon API

Client using Eikon API Python and they have requested to retrieve list of Service Alerts from the RIC <ALERT>.

They wanted to know how they can generate the list of alerts? Also to create a column to identify the impacted market / region of the alert?

We have provided a sample syntax to retrieve how the page looks like on the Quote.

Attached screenshot of the sample syntax and output run in CodeBook.

We would like to ask if possible, to extract the impacted exchange out of the description column?

Also, the “Last Updated” column is in HH:MM DD format. Is it possible to add a column with Last Updated to follow a different format? e.g. YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS?

    The API will retrive each row as a string.

    I think the Service and Description columns have not pattern. Therefore, it is quite hard to extract data from unpattern strings.

    Regarding the Last Updated column, please contact the content support team direclty to verify if it is possible to change the time format. The APIs just get this data from the real-time service.

    To parse the alerts data programatically, I think it is better to use the /service-insight/v1/ endpoints which are available on the Refinitiv Data Platform.
