Can I get decent hedge fund data via Eikon?
Hello everyone,
I am using the Fund Screener app to get the hedge funds meeting certain criteria. However, it seems that there are not all funds listed because the research that I am aware of mentions the bigger numbers. Also, in Liquidated funds category, there are very few that contain NAV history. (e.g. out of ~1100 Equity\Long\Short funds that have nonempty investment objective only 75 have NAV history).
I am wondering if there are any restrictions on these data and can I adequately access it through Eikon api? After the instances like in the examle above I am starting to be discouraged about that (

@dgrishin all questions can be addressed to your local Refinitiv support desk or your dedicated specialist. They can help you build out a model in Eikon Excel that can then be replicated with the use of Eikon API.

Thank you for the answer! But the question was more about whether it is possible in principle. More presicely, does Eikon provide the unrestricted access to Lipper hedge fund data for all funds (at least NAV and TNA) or the unrestricted access comes only with the other TR products (and not Eikon)?
after spending some time, I more or less understood how to query the information from Eikon if it is there, but I would like to know if it is there at all
How can I clarify this? (i am using Eikon from my university)0 -
