Eikon API - inventories time series does not update as fast as in the "Charts"

American (DOE) and European (PJK) oil inventories are published every Wednesday at 16.30 and every Thursday at 16.15 , respectively.

My issue comes from the fact that right after the publication , the updated time series of the above mentioned inventories are available in TR Excel add-in but they are not up to date using the Eikon API ( i use the ek.get_timeseries() function , for example for the RICs : GL-STK-T-EIA and STK-GL-ARA , for DOE and PJK inventories, respectively)

why is that?

    You can use the get_data method to retrieve real-time fields of GL-STK-T-EIA and STK-GL-ARA.

    The retrieved data should be the same data as displayed by Eikon Quote.

    You can use the Data Item Browser Eikon application or Eikon Excel Formula builder to find a list of available real-time fields.

    The new data-point is visible in the "Charts" as well right after the publication, for the RICs above mentioned (but not in the corresponding dowloaded time series)

    Hi @davide.costanzo

    I believe that you may expect some delay before the timeseries database is updated.

    You can also use realtime information to fill in the latest data point just right after the publication.

    thanks. What are the APIs that provide real time access to this data? Is there any that is free of charge for people with a TR Eikon account?
