How could I get information about indices like, e.g., S&P 500 via Python and the record matching API of PermID?

Could anyone provide an example for retrieving index information via PermID's record matching API about, e.g., S&P 500?

I can't find the PermID for S&P 500.

The Eikon shows the Issuer PermID: https://permid.org/1-8589934195.

I will contact the PermID team to confirm it.

Yes, thanks for looking into it. In the meanwhile I was able to retrieve things I need like above via the Eikon API. It seems as if PermID just provides single name data which is interesting as such but does not help quite much in terms of index issues.

@FRANK.HOEVERMANN

The product team confirmed that we can't search Indices data in PermID.org.
