EOL for RFA Java 7.7.1.L2

Hi, is there end of life date for 7.7.1.L2 of the RFA Java API ?

We have our custom applications which use RFA Java 7.7.1.L2 to collect data from and post data to Reuters.

Our application runs on RHEL (Red Hat Linux) Server and use Java 11 runtime.

@applicationsupport

I think we still support RFA Java 7.7.x.

As I know, the latest notification is for RFA Java 7.6.x.

RFA 7.x will not be supported from 28th February 2026 according to this notification.

Hi @applicationsupport,

Yes, RFA Java 7.7.x is already in the End Of Life. You can see the API compatibility matrix here.

Thanks for the reply Gurpreet. We have compiled code with JDK 1.11 and per spreadsheet it does not look like marked in Red. So should not be EOL yet, correct rite?

It would be also helpful if you have link to the EOL announcements for RFA Java version. Thanks in advance.

Hello @applicationsupport

The RFA API version 7.x is in the sunset phase. Based on the API Compatibility Matrix, it will be EOL on 28th Feb 2026.

You can find the full detail about the reason, impact, and the migration path on the PCN206364-End of Support announcement for legacy Marketfeed and SSL protocols document.

Please note that the RFA version 8.x is not EOL with the version 7.x, but it is also considered a legacy API. The suggested migration path is to the strategic Enterprise Message API (EMA) which is a part of the Refinitiv Real-Time SDK - Java.
