use of Eikon API and Excel API at same time

Is there a way to use the Eikon API (python) and Excel API at the same time? Often, I want to check and compare formulas between python and Excel, but this requires me to sign in, which automatically signs me out in the other version.

Please refer to this question. 

At the moment there's no way to use Eikon .NET Data API and Eikon Scripting API simultaneously using the same Eikon user account.

Are we still planning to incorporate the Eikon APIs Proxy in the Eikon Toolbar? When that's available this won't be an issue anymore.
