What kind of problem could be cause Contex insert problem via JSFC API?

Dear Community,

We try to insert data, but we have got "DACS User Profile denied access to vendor" error code. We are using JSFC API via Contex service.

Do you know what kind of problem could cause this issue? Only security issue will be that or we are facing other things? Where customer IT person can set up this access on DACS?

Best regards,

Botond

It was an security issue at Customer side. So the application can be able to contribute RIC to Contex. We don't have to upgrade JSFC API version.

Thank you your cooperation,

Hello @botond H,

If the application has been in production for a while, and only recently it has started exhibiting the error that you see, then the error message "DACS User Profile denied access to vendor" points to DACS permissioining issue and I would contact your DACS administrator, to confirm the user has the permissioins to contribute, as well as to find out on any changes in DACS right prior to you seeing this error.

If it's a new app that have never worked, I would get off JSFC, which is still supported in the latest version, but is a legacy API in support only, and look in the direction of today's APIs highly efficient, rich in features, and constantly improving, Elektron API Suite, probably the best fit in Java for contribution would be EMA Java, the best way to get started is EMA Java Quickstart Guide
