I am visiting an institution and using their Eikon PC. I have tried to follow a quick start guide to activate an api, but I get a screen that differs from the graphics in the guide.
Could you please help me with how to proceed (the local librarians do not have anywhere enough IT proficciency to start tourchering them with such questions)?

It seems you are running the API KEY Generator - rather than the APPKEY generator
Just search for APPKEY in the Eikon search bar or even in the App Library search if you prefer.
Alternatively you can try logging into https://api.refinitiv.com/ with Eikon Credentials and selecting the AppKey Generator in the top left corner.
Well spotted @umer-nalla. However, this is what comes up when I search for app key, as suggested by the quick start:
Have you tried searching for APPKEY - all one word without the space between APP and KEY?
Can you also confirm what version of Eikon is being used?
According to the QuickStart it needs to be v4.0.36 or higher.
