I checked the error and it contains HTML. I copied HTML to notepad and opened it with a Web Browser. It showed the following page.

It looks like to be a client's proxy or firewall issue

However, the localhost URL (http://localhost:9060/api/handshake) used by Eikon Data API shouldn't be sent to a proxy or a firewall. The clients should contact their IT team regarding this proxy or firewall.

Hello @Jirapongse

Good day! Client came back with the ff response:

"

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

Can you please help us how to bypass the proxy in python code or in Eikon configuration.

My IT team is not able to identify the code to use to bypass and fetch the data from EIkon. They have provided me with Http and Https for proxies.

Your help is much appreciated."

Could you please advise?

THanks

@JeffreyPatrick.Pinpin

I don't think it is in the Python code.

I could relate to the machine or proxy settings to bypass the 127.0.0.1 address.

@Jirapongse how can the client do this?

@JeffreyPatrick.Pinpin

First, you need to check if the API proxy is running properly.

You can use a Web Browser to check the following URLs:

  1. http://127.0.0.1:9060/api/status
  2. http://127.0.0.1:9000/ping?all
  3. http://127.0.0.1:9001/ping?all

Is it Eikon or Workspace and Windows or Mac?
