So I'm trying to get descriptive historical data of CEOs of listed companies hopefully. I'm imagining a panel between 2007-2024 (or last year available) of those companies, in which I have a column of year, another one for the fullname of the CEO in charge during that year, and several other columns with:
1. Age
2. Nationality
3. State of Birth if they are american
4. Biography
5. Educational Background (University attended, Degree, Major, Year of Graduation, etc), this educational background hopefully divided into various columns.
6. Any other descriptive variables that may be useful
Right now I have this code that allows me to get the current officers of Apple for example, but the information of Tim Cook at least in the educational background is wrong, he studied in Auburn and Duke (which is clearly stated in the terminal of Refinitiv), but here I get University of Washington and a wrong major (see image attached). But of course the current information is not what I need, I need the list of all CEOs of the company between 2007-2024 and their background as I said before.
#Code
import refinitiv.data as rd
rd.open_session()
df = rd.get_data(
universe=['AAPL.O'],
fields = [
'TR.ODOfficerFullName',
'TR.ODOfficerPositionDesc',
'TR.ODOfficerPositionStartDate',
'TR.ODOfficerBiography',
'TR.ODOfficerPersonAge',
'TR.ODOfficerUniversityName',
'TR.ODOfficerGraduationDegree'
],
parameters={"ODRnk" :"R1:R10"}
)
df.head()
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
