EIKON API PYTHON AUTOMATION

I am currently working with the Eikon Desktop API for retrieving economic and commodity data within Python. I'm looking for a API that can be run in the background, preferably in a Linux environment. Is there a Refinitiv Data API that could be used without a Desktop GUI on Windows or Linux?

Hi @research5 Refinitiv data platform provides such access. It is a RESTful API and can be accessed from any programming language. Refinitiv also provides ease of use Python and .NET libraries for use with RDP.

Currently the data availablity isn't as broad as Eikon, but new services are being added. You can talk to your account manager on how to get access to these API.
