EMA Dynamic Views Capability function Consult

Hi Team,

One of my customer used Dynamic Views Capability(subscribe specific fields) function from EAAS with EMA. A few days ago, they switched to EED and found this function lost. Could you advice if EED could enable Dynamic Views Capability? and is it chargeable if answer is yes ?

When you say EED, do you mean that the consumer is connecting directly to an Elektron Edge device?

In that case, it would be because Views are supported at the ADS level only - the Edge device does not support views.

You have to bear in mind that when you use Views, you are asking the server to filter the fields on your behalf - which requires processing power and since the EED is focused on providing the highest possible throughput with the lowest latency to all the downstream consumers, it does not make sense for it to be expending CPU resource on filtering.

If the user wants to use Views they would need to connect to an ADS with Views enabled.
